This astral design has intrigued me for years and when I learned to draw the design I knew it had to be rendered into a mosaic. It appears to me to be a lunar map of sorts…or perhaps a door to a cosmic portal we mere mortals cannot access? Made with glass and mirror, gold, adorned with pure copper, and finished with a beautiful encaustic wax painting treatment.
