In this intricate masterpiece, every piece of glass is meticulously hand cut. As I laid each piece of glass a portal seemed to emerge within the mosaic. It was as if the passion flower had become a gateway to another realm, inviting me to step into a world of wonder. The cuts of glass, like beams of light, guided my eyes towards the heart of the flower, where a revelation awaited…5 stamen, creating a pentagram. The passion flower is also associated with tranquility and peace and those are the emotions, along with wonder and awe, that this piece evoke in me. 5009/5010 - Pink Opal Mandala Set

Each Frame: : 9" x 16" Mandalas have long been used as a tool for meditation and relaxation. The intricate patterns and geometric shapes of mandalas have a calming effect on the mind and can help to reduce stress and anxiety. The act creating mosaic mandalas is a lovely meditative practice, allowing me to focus my thoughts and quiet my minds. Here I created two stunning half mandalas based on intricate 12 petal geometry. This captivating pattern reminds me of a sunrise with its gorgeous blend of pinks, yellows, and browns. This design is adorned with beautiful pink opals and highlighted with fire torched copper and peridot colored Czech crystals. The use of blush and gold colored mirror creates a mesmerizing sparkle that changes with the light, making it an exquisite addition to any space. The use of mirror underneath the gemstones in the design is a favorite technique of mine that adds an extra layer of depth and dimension to the piece. By allowing light to pass through and reflect back through the materials, the mirror creates a mesmerizing effect that draws the viewer in and enhances the beauty and complexity of the gems. This technique also amplifies the energy of the stones, creating a powerful and dynamic piece that radiates positive energy and inspires creativity and imagination.

2985 - Flying Dragon

13" x 13" The mosaic was created from a ceramic pitcher I I purchased in Spain and is a beautiful example of the picassiette technique. This technique involves using broken pieces of ceramics, such as plates, dishes, and tiles, to create a new work of art. It's fascinating to think that the ceramic pitcher was once a functional object, but now it has been turned into a work of art, a testament to the beauty that can be created from unexpected materials. I used gold painted coral and colored mirror to create movement and reflection. The coral adds texture and color that compliments the design on the pitcher. The colored mirror creates an exciting and dynamic effect that enhances the movement in the piece. The way the light reflects off the colored mirror creates a sense of movement, almost like the artwork is alive and moving. The flow of this piece reminds me of a Japanese dragon in flight.

The swirling motion represents movement, flow, and transformation - all important aspects of personal growth and spiritual evolution.
