Vibrant iridescent glass petals glowed with the warm colors of the sun, their centers filled with mystical gemstones - one of red and green dragon blood, another with citrine, and a third with black sunstone. The riverstone skies radiate strength and endurance, grounding and stabilizing emotions to promote inner calm. Riverstone creates balance and harmony, while the band of serpentine, the stone of transformation and healing, connects with fairy magic and the earth element, the realm of the fairies. Animals and fairies alike were drawn to their mesmerizing glows, listening closely to whispered tales of strength and resilience. 13" x 13" The mosaic was created from a ceramic pitcher I I purchased in Spain and is a beautiful example of the picassiette technique. This technique involves using broken pieces of ceramics, such as plates, dishes, and tiles, to create a new work of art. It's fascinating to think that the ceramic pitcher was once a functional object, but now it has been turned into a work of art, a testament to the beauty that can be created from unexpected materials. I used gold painted coral and colored mirror to create movement and reflection. The coral adds texture and color that compliments the design on the pitcher. The colored mirror creates an exciting and dynamic effect that enhances the movement in the piece. The way the light reflects off the colored mirror creates a sense of movement, almost like the artwork is alive and moving. The flow of this piece reminds me of a Japanese dragon in flight.
