“Finding Inner Peace” is a meditative mandala that starts to breathe when you stand before it. The geometry activates with your presence. Lines shift, arcs move, and the pattern slowly expands as your eyes soften and your brain relaxes. This quiet movement is not an illusion. It is an invitation to pause and just BE. Peace is not a fixed point. It unfolds, circles outward, and meets you exactly where you are.
This mosaic emerged while I was sending healing energy to two friends who were facing significant life transitions. When constructing a mandala, I always start from the center and build the circles outward. This deliberate way of working allows me to fall into my own meditative state and infuse the piece with my thoughts, emotions, and love. In that space I also listen to what the artwork is requesting, whether it is a particular color or a new embellishment. This meditative practice supports the energy I am sending out and transforms my artwork into a tool meant to uplift moods and shift the energy of the space it will inhabit.
This mandala holds the petal geometry of twenty-four and carries a rhythm that feels ancient and steady. In modern numerology, twenty-four blends the qualities of two and four and reduces to six. It often speaks to harmony, caregiving, emotional grounding, and the kind of supportive partnership that brings long-term stability. It feels like a fitting purpose for her work.
Lepidolite brings a soft and stabilizing vibration to this piece. It is a type of mica and I happen to LOVE mica. When I was young, I had a ginormous pet granite boulder in our yard. I would sit with it for hours, picking mica from its surface and trying to split the layers with absolute focus. I still love doing that. Mica feels like the earth revealing its own layered memory. Lepidolite carries that same energy. It supports the heart, third eye, and crown chakras and helps ease stress while opening intuitive awareness.
Patinated copper creates warm greens and earthy browns throughout the design. In places where the patina naturally lifted away, the copper underneath glows through like tiny sparks of fire. Paired with deep blues, soft whites, luminous purples, and the reflective qualities of mirror and crystal, the palette becomes soothing and contemplative.
“Finding Inner Peace” is meant to be experienced slowly. Step closer and let your breath settle. The geometry will shift in response. It will pulse, open, and offer a moment of stillness that feels both personal and universal.
